Our Mission: “To secure the role of traditional culture and the arts as an integral component of the social and economic development of Ollantaytambo.” CATCCO is a non-profit organization founded in Ollantaytambo in 1997. With the initiative of The Cusichaca Trust, an archaeological excavation group, it is the result of the efforts of the people of Ollantaytambo and its surrounding communities as well as the support of committed individuals and sponsors. The permanent acting board includes elected representatives from the Municipality of Ollantaytambo, the farming community of Ollantaytambo and the indigenous community of Huilloq. These different participants act in the firm believe that Ollantaytambo and its vast cultural, historical and social resources are of enormous value to the people that live in Ollantaytambo and are part of the world’s heritage.
